Finally used this paper!

I have had it for so long and I spied it right before we left for Pittsburgh and knew I wanted to use this photo as Breezy's dress matches so perfectly.

Anyway, here it is:

I just LOVE Prima!! I can remember when they were just a small company that no one visited at CHA - many, many years ago. Ahhh...I miss the scrappy life...

Three New Layouts!

Yay! I had time last night and today to design three more. On a roll - just in time to leave for 3 weeks due to more surgery for Kevin. But still...3 more!

So this first one was created using paper from an old Swirlydoos kit. It's the House of Three line that is to be inked and dyed due to the resists applied to the paper. LOVE THEM! I have never gotten to use them until last night and the resists are beautiful. Such possibilities.

Anyway, this is Breezy and my grandson, Christian. She is such a happy mom and he is such a happy baby.

These next two are designed using more of the Mama Razzi papers from Bo Bunny. I have always loved the blue/brown combination so they definitely appeal to me.

The first one is of Christian. This photo was taken of him at day care. Isn't he just so cute, lol?

This one is of Kevin holding the baby while Kevin was visiting the other day. I just love the happiness on Kevin's face. This one is very simple, but I tend to design that way.

Another of Christian

I finally pulled out the Mama Razzi papers and used another photo of Christian. I remember reading about a friend from ScrapMuse, Kim Sonksen (blog link on right), that is determined to use her stash. She creates kits out of what she has and tries to use it all up. I think that is a most excellent idea and am utilizing her idea to the fullest.

Since I owned an ScrapMuse (online kit club) for years - until it got too big for me to maintain by myself - I have TONS of stuff! Now I admit that most of what I have is still packed, but still...I have enough to create a dent in it.

So here is another layout of my sweet grandson:

Some of you may remember seeing those copper stick pins from Nunn Design. Is she still in business? I just loved all of her metals!

Anyway, gotta run. Kevin's here and we are heading to the theater to see "Charlie Brown" tonight. Yay!!

My Darling Baby

I finally got to do a layout of my darling grandson! He is such a breath of fresh air and a true delight for my little family to have around.

Anyway, I used the Baby Boy IOD papers and embellishments. They are just so cute for a little boy. I took the photo a few weeks ago and tweaked it with a few different actions and finally got it printed last night. I just love this photo!

Thanks V & L for making this layout possible! It became part of your Christmas gift to me!

Got 'er done!

I finally set the sewing machine up and finished the layout of Breezy I was working on the other day. Lately my layouts are so simple and I really need to work on pushing myself to another limit. Anyway, here it is:

I used those moonshadow mists on the shells and the tags and I can't even begin to say how much I love those things. There is so much more depth of color to them over any other mists on the market. I also like how they are not just one flat color with a glimmer to them.

I slapped another quick one together too last night. It is another very plain one, but it's not really complete yet. I plan to journal in the white space about how lucky we are that Kevin is at the beach with us.

It's been a while...

...but I finally got around to some scrapping. This is a layout I designed using a Swirlydoos limited edition kit that came out a while ago. It features BasicGrey Curio and although I wasn't sure how much I would like it - I LOVE IT! Here it is:

I am not pleased though with the journaling cards from BG. The only one that worked was the top one, the others after all stuck together. Very disappointing.

So I did do another layout, but I have some stitching to do on it to complete it. Hopefully I will get to it tonight. Wish me luck!

Just A Few Layouts

I did one of these a week or so ago, but never got the photo taken until today. The other two I did last night, but I am not overly pleased with one of them.

This first one is my "One Little Word" layout. It's a very odd picture in that I colored and texturized it in a very strange way. Oh well...an odd photo for an odd girl, lol.

I really like this one. It's a photo of Kevin's federal recovery coordinator, Mary. She has been with us since Kevin was first wounded and has done so much for us that I could never begin to say how much I appreciate her. She really is an angel and I knew I had to make the title to this "Snow Angel" as soon as I saw the pic.

This is the one I am not overly fond of. I admit that the snowflakes are a little hard to see, but I just think it needs more. I don't know what though. I don't have many Christmas embellies, but hopefully something comes to mind soon. Although I am uploading it here, in my mind it really is unfinished. I am open to suggestions...
